Garrick Breeder part one

Garrick Breeder is the son of a horse breeder that lived just outside of Stolkvale, a moderately sized city. One day Garrick receives a dream instructing him to slaughter Broomwind, a local hedgemage.
The day of Broomwinds death her apprentice, Tollen Greensparrow, was out running an errand to return two days later. Greensparrow returned to a ransacked, rancid smelling laboratory. His mistress Hedgemage Broomwind lay crumpled on the flood clutching a wand with her neck slit and her limbs broken. Tollen instantly recognized the wand for what it was, a message wand. He activated the enchantment.

“Greensparrow, I was visited by a Breeder who’s only intent was my demise. In the foolishness of youth he left me with only the smallest amount of spirit, so I fear this message will be short. This Breeder did not act of his own will. There is someone larger pulling strings. You must stop this culprit at all costs, for I fear the worst.”

Greensparrow quickly inventoried his mistress’ home and found nothing of importance amiss. Only 47 copper bits (not nearly enough to buy a descent meal), three missile wands, and a tome (although without mistress Broomwind there is no telling exactly which tome it was, all that is known is that all the powerful arcane tomes rest safely in their locked closet).
After the inventory Greensparrow contacted a Deacon Faulen at the church of Larethian to perform a sending ritual and help in the burial of Broomwind.
